Educators act ethically and maintain the integrity, credibility and reputation of the profession.

It is imperative that every educator in the province meets Standard 2 and uphold this requirement in and out of the classroom on a daily bases. Ignoring this standard daily can have negative repercussions for teachers, as we are held on to a higher standard on how we conduct ourselves in the classroom and in our daily lives. One of things I was consist with during my practicum was showing up to school every morning at least 45 minutes early to set up for the day. After school I would stay back with coaching teacher to discuss how the day went and to discuss future lesson plans that will be introduced to the classroom. This was also a great time for going over assessment of students in each subject for the day. Before my practicum began, I spent about a week and half to integrate myself in the classroom and begin to introduce myself and attempt to get know each of the students in the classroom. I was able to quickly remember all the students name and found most of the students interests or things that I could use to build on each relationship in the class. Standard 2 is pretty self explanatory and just conducting yourself as a professional and undertaking the appropriate steps as an educator to act ethically and to maintain credibility of the teaching profession. We are looking after the communities children, so it is important that we conduct ourselves in a professional conduct to ensure the best supportive and learning environment for our students .
